Morningstar adds new fund metric of investor return

Morningstar Inc. has added a new feature to its mutual fund service -- measuring investor return, sometimes called dollar-weighted return, or how well an average investor does over time. Investor return may offer a clearer picture than the traditional measurement of total return.
